Terms for previews and orders

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. We ship framed canvases to addresses in the United States only.

• Creating a preview is free and needs no account and no payment details.
• Before you order, you can ask for up to 2 free revisions of your preview. You then choose the version, the size and the frame color you want to order.
• Your preview and its revisions stay available for 30 days after your last change. After that we delete them, and you are welcome to create a new preview.
• You order and pay in our secure checkout, which is provided by Stripe. Your order is accepted when we confirm it by e-mail after your payment.
• If we cannot produce an order, for example because the photo breaks the rules in section 3, we cancel it and refund the full amount.

• Only upload photos you are allowed to use. Before we create your preview, you confirm with a checkbox that you have the right to use the photo and, where required, the consent of the people shown to it being turned into an artwork. For children, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is needed.
• You allow us and the service providers named in our Privacy Policy to store, process and print your photo, only to create your preview, your revisions and your order. We do not use your photos or artworks for any other purpose, such as advertising, unless you give us separate permission, for example by choosing on the order page to have your finished artwork featured in our gallery. You can withdraw that permission at any time.
• Please do not upload photos that are illegal, that show nudity or violence, that are hateful or harassing, or that infringe the rights of others. We may refuse such photos.
• If someone makes a claim against us because you uploaded a photo you were not allowed to use, you are responsible for that claim.

• Your artwork is painted digitally from your photo in our CanvasBurst style. It is an artistic interpretation, so details can differ slightly from the photo. That is why you see it before you order.
• The preview carries a watermark. The printed canvas does not.
• Colors on canvas can look slightly different from your screen, the canvas texture is visible, and the edges of the image wrap around the stretcher frame.
• The framed canvas is for your personal, non-commercial use. We do not claim ownership of your photo.

Prices are in US dollars and include the floating frame and shipping to your US address. We do not add any charges at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Because we are based in Switzerland, your bank may charge a foreign transaction fee.

• Every canvas is made to order. We usually hand it to the carrier within 7 to 10 business days after your payment, and it usually arrives within 12 to 16 business days after your payment. You receive tracking by e-mail.
• If we cannot ship your order in time, we tell you by e-mail before the promised date, with a new date. You can then cancel your order for a full refund. Refunds for cancelled orders are made within 7 business days.
• Please check your shipping address in checkout, because we ship to the address you enter there.

Because your canvas is made just for you, you can cancel free of charge until your order goes into production. Write to hello@canvasburst.com as soon as possible. Once production has started, the order can no longer be cancelled; our quality guarantee still applies.

If your canvas arrives damaged or defective, or does not match the version, size or frame color you ordered, we reprint it or refund you. How this works is described in our Return & Refund Policy. This guarantee is in addition to any rights you have under the law.

You are always free to share your honest opinion about your order and about us, anywhere.

For any single order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order. This limit does not apply to damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or where the law of your state does not allow such a limit. Your rights under the quality guarantee remain unaffected.

You agree that we send order confirmations, shipping updates and other messages about your order by e-mail, and that agreements and notices in electronic form are as valid as on paper.

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of the state where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live, including small claims court. If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most issues can be solved quickly by e-mail.

We may update these terms for future orders. Each order is governed by the version that was published when you placed it.
